68 Kill is the story of one couple’s journey of mayhem as a robbery goes wrong and leads them both down a path where only bad things will happen. We check out this brand new comedy horror that just arrived on demand this past week and give a very strong verdict on if it’s worth checking out or not. There was a ton of horror news to get through including when we might see the return of Ash vs Evil Dead. We tackle the best found footage films for this week’s top 5 and really struggle to only fit 5 in. Finally we played Tacoma and Patapon and weren’t really impressed by either sadly.

Hounds of Love is the latest horror release to leave Australia and follows a sadistic couple who kidnap a young girl for their own entertainment. This film is from a first time writer and director and really blew us away. Certainly a good discussion to be had about this film. It’s trailers galore this week as we see our first glimpses at Jigsaw and Stranger Things 2. Our top 5 horror novel adaptations is maybe our strongest list to date and we also run through the listener suggestions before picking a winner for our first ever giveaway. We end this week on the highs and lows of a ink based shooter.

Downhill is an action, horror and sport hybrid. Is this the start of a new trend or a failed experiment that needs to never be seen or heard of again? Find out as we don’t hold back our opinions on this one. We talk about the unfortunate news of George Romero passing and the impact he has left on so many. Quentin Tarantino’s next film could be a Manson family flick. A forgotten horror is finally get a bluray release after 10 years. Game of Thrones has returned and we try not to laugh at that Ed Sheeran cameo too much. This week’s Top 5 sees us tackle anthology films. And we announce a giveaway involving next week’s Top 5.

We get very excited as we run through the lineup for this year’s Fright Fest and our plans for attending. This week’s featured film was actually at Fright Fest 2016 so we timed this right as we discuss the nostalgia trip known as Beyond the Gates. There is lots of new information and release dates on many of this year’s upcoming films including Leatherface. The Top 5 featured see us run down the very best vampire films ever made. And we end with another nostalgia trip in the form of a bandicoot named Crash.

The first black and white film to feature on the show see us return this week to discuss The Eyes of My Mother. Fright Fest’s 2017 lineup is announced this week and we speculate on what might feature after a great 2016. Dracula is being revived, but this time it’s by the BBC. We introduce our brand new feature that will hopefully become as beloved as Forgotten Horror did. And we also give an update on if the Friday the 13th servers are actually working yet.

We try to stay awake long enough to discuss all the latest in horror news before diving into this week’s film about sleep paralysis. Dead Awake brings up an interesting premise but can it execute on it? (Drink every time we say Freddy Krueger at your own peril) We also round up our thoughts and feelings on E3 2017. In short; we talk about how Nintendo crushed their competition and has us very happy for the future.

In what must be the first film to feature a bonafide rockstar we’ve covered for the show; we return to talk all about Let Me Make You a Martyr. What makes a film ‘horror’ and can Marilyn Manson act are some of the many questions we answer. Some recent filming at the original Haddonfield location has us very intrigued in the news and a trailer of a new remake has us less intrigued. Finally we wrap things up with some pre-E3 hype and what would be on our wishlist of announcements.

We are back and this time we’re talking tentacles. Let me rephrase that. This week we’re talking about The Void; a film about tentacles. Kinda. Also there’s lots of big news including a Resident Evil reboot, Adam Wingard’s next film and everything being adapted into a TV show! Lastly we cover all latest pre E3 leaks and then wrap things up with Mike’s take on the Friday the 13th game. He sure took one for the team this time.

Home invasion makes it’s dramatic return as we discuss Wolves at The Door. Possibly the shortest film in run time we’ve covered for the show so far. Zac Efron has been cast as Ted Bundy in some of the most shocking news to arrive in 2017. Life is Strange gets a sequel (kinda). And some #RhythmViolence arrives on the Nintendo Switch.

We celebrate our 50th episode with a bang as we talk about the latest film in one of the biggest horror franchises we’ve covered so far. Alien Covenant has the arrived and we have so much to discuss about this prequel/sequel. We go spoiler free to begin with before delving further after we give a fair warning. Also; The Purge is getting a tv spinoff which has us very hyped but unfortunately another favorite won’t be returning to our screens. And we wrap things up with more good things to say about What Remains of Edith Finch. Follow us on Twitter @SHBPod
