We celebrate our 50th episode with a bang as we talk about the latest film in one of the biggest horror franchises we’ve covered so far. Alien Covenant has the arrived and we have so much to discuss about this prequel/sequel. We go spoiler free to begin with before delving further after we give a fair warning. Also; The Purge is getting a tv spinoff which has us very hyped but unfortunately another favorite won’t be returning to our screens. And we wrap things up with more good things to say about What Remains of Edith Finch. Follow us on Twitter @SHBPod

What happens when you lock a bunch of office workers in a building together? If you guessed murder each other then you’re right as this week we discuss The Belko Experiment. A film which will certainly be in the running for some of our year end awards. Bates Motel has concluded and Matt gives his verdict on whether the show ended in a satisfying way. M. Night Shyamalan has announced his next film which has us very excited. And finally we talk about What Remains of Edith Finch; a beautiful game that has an incredible horror homage. There’s a lot to get through this week as we approach a very busy period for Horror. But first we have the small matter of discussing The Blackcoat’s Daughter. A film brought to our attention merely due to Matt’s admiration of Emma Roberts. We also discuss nearly catching up on Bates Motel and The X-Files being revived for what feels like the millionth time. Rounding off the show is a rare extended gaming chat as we need to talk about certain games consoles that have been sold and bought by the Super Horror Bros this week. Follow us on Twitter @SHBPod

The train keeps rolling on as we see one of the weirdest films to date in the form of Raw. This one got a cinema release in the UK and that isn’t even the craziest thing about the film. We go deep on cannibal behaviour and whether French veterinary schools really are they way they’re portrayed. We also go back and watch some old films in the form of Psycho and IT; as we continue to catch up on Bates Motel and get excited for the remake of the Stephen King novel later this year. 13 Reasons Why dropped on Netflix this month and Matt explains why he enjoyed it but felt it was hindered by its format. And finally Mike is still buzzing about the Nintendo Switch.

There sure is a lot to get through this week. We kick things off by going over the latest trailers including the first for the highly anticipated IT. Matt wants to defend Adam Wingard after some criticism he received after the first Death Note trailer hit this past week. Then we dive into the scary world of post mortems and creepy corpses as we discuss The Autopsy of Jane Doe. One I’m sure that will leave a lingering impression. Then finally we wrap up with some brief thoughts on Destiny 2 announcement and final impressions after finishing Horizon Zero Dawn.

There’s a lot to discuss this week as we tackle the heavy metal horror The Devil’s Candy that arrived on demand services last week. Does the follow up to The Loved Ones deliver? We also talk Fede Alvarez’s next project, Scream getting rebooted and the death of The Terminator franchise. Also we give impressions of Bates Motel - Season 1, extended thoughts on Horizon Zero Dawn after over 30 hours played and initial impressions of our first hours with the Nintendo Switch.

We got an early UK screening (or late screening if you’re from the US) of Get Out which is the latest horror film to attack the box office. There’s a lot to talk about with this one but we still manage to keep it completely spoiler free. Could we have an early contender for film of the year? Is it a stealth Black Mirror release? All these questions and more must be answered. Also we talk about a supposed 3D re-release of Terminator 2: Judgment Day and why we don’t need an excuse to cover that film some more. And we wrap things up with some Horizon Zero Dawn talk. Mike loves it. Matt isn’t convinced by it yet. Potential fireworks inbound.
March 02, 2017 04:29 PM PST
As we reach our 1 year anniversary of the show we have a lot to celebrate. First we talk all about the Netflix original ‘I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore’. Perhaps the funniest film we’ve covered so far but still with great horror elements. Another sign Netflix is the future for the genre? We also discuss our super early impressions of Horizon Zero Dawn that finally arrived this week. And we wrap things up by explaining how trophies can change your experience playing a game for the better.

A British Zombie film has our attention this week as we discuss The Girl with All the Gifts. Our third zombie film of 2017 already. We really hope this one turns out better than the last one. We also talk the latest news including the apparent filming of Jeepers Creepers 3 for what feels like the 1000th time. And round things off with the latest games we’ve been playing including RE7’s Banned Footage Vol.2, the second generation of Pokemon Go and A Normal Lost Phone.
February 15, 2017 05:12 PM PST
Because someone decided that making a new film in ‘The Ring’ series in 2017 was a good idea; we decided to go and watch it. Hear our thoughts on Rings and why you should probably spend your time elsewhere. We also go over a lot of horror news that’s cropped up in the last few weeks. Have the small task of determining the greatest horror film of all time. And round up the games we’ve been playing including Nioh and, you guessed it, more Resident Evil 7.
