For our first cinema release of 2018 we are tackling the haunted house franchise known as Insidious; as the latest installment has arrived to try and jump scare us to an early grave. Given this isn’t a franchise we are super up to date on or fans of; the trailer got us intrigued enough to give this one a go. We’ll find out if that was a good idea or not. The New Mutants got a massive delay and we moan about why it’s terrible news for everyone involved. Finally Matt gives his thoughts on seeing Carrie for the first time ever in 2018. You may not be shocked to hear his opinion. Insidious: The Last Key is available now in cinemas worldwide Follow us on Twitter @SHBPod

Also we announce the winner of our Cult of Chucky giveaway to a lucky listener. And finally we end things with a look at what’s to come plus some brief thoughts on a Christmas horror anthology film. Jeepers Creepers 3 is available on VOD services worldwide now. Follow us on Twitter @SHBPod

The busy Halloween period is over but we still have plenty of brand new horror films to talk about on the show and this week we go back and watch a new Stephen King adaptation that arrived on Netflix a few weeks ago. Gerald’s Game is the latest Netflix original for us to tackle and boy is there a lot to talk about. We wasn’t sure what to expect going into this one and we really won’t forget it anytime soon. We also catch up on American Horror Story: Cult and finally have some good things to say about this season. Yay! This Halloween season continues with a fury as yet another heavy hitter arrives in cinemas. Happy Death Day is Groundhog Day meets Scream and if that alone doesn’t get you excited; I’m not sure what will. We discuss everything about this film spoiler free before talking spoilers briefly at the end after we give the warning. The only news story this week is the rumours of Rob Zombie revisiting the Firefly family and we get both excited and worried at that thought. We also bring back Top 5 with perhaps our most contentious list yet as we reveal our Top 5 Sequels. We’re sure this one will go down well. And finally South Park: The Fractured But Whole may not be what we hoped it would be. Happy Death Day is available now in cinemas worldwide Follow us on Twitter @SHBPod
